The RSL Rifle Club is going from strength to strength as our membership continues to grow. The club now has 56 members and operates 4 targets on the Hornsby Rifle Range every Saturday afternoon from 1pm and targets ranges from 300m -> 800m. Our members compete in four different target shooting disciplines:
- Target Rifle – shooting prone position off a sling with open (aperture) sights
- F-Class Standard – shooting prone position off a rest with telescopic sights in standard calibres (.223 Remington and .308 Winchester)
- F-Class Open – shooting prone position off a rest with telescopic sights in any calibre up to 8mm
- Sporter (Production/Open) – shooting prone with hunting and/or tactical style rifles with telescopic sights in any standard calibre up to 8mm
The club has rifle teams in all four of these disciplines and these teams compete in the inter-club District Teams competitions.
We use Hexta electronic targets scoring system.
